How long does it take to fully change name servers to Yahoo without transferring your domain to them?
Question about domain hosting reviews: Is it at all possible? Yahoo is pushing for transferring a domain to Yahoo but reviews for their domain support are horrid, so we’ll do everything possible not to change a registrar. It’s been 90 hours since name servers were changed to Yahoo and our Yahoo store has been dead ever since. Any suggestions on how to get it up and running again? Yahoo customer service people seem clueless on what to do except to continue waiting on engineering team to remove the domain block. I spoke to at least five reps tonight and they all blame GoDaddy (our original registrar). But GoDaddy has confirmed at least three times the name servers were changed correctly and there are no blocks of any kind on their end. I’ve read some other people had similar domain issues dragging on for weeks with Yahoo and had to either find another hosting for their stores or roll back to their original registrar asap.
Thanks Elevate! It looks as waiting wouldn’t help in this particular case. Apparently, I did something in GoDaddy controls that cleared the block on June 19. Yahoo said that name server changes were dated by GoDaddy on June 19. But I made and confirmed the changes with GoDaddy on June 15! What I did on June 19 was deleting an email box associated with this domain and unlocking the domain on GoDaddy’s page. My guess is that UNLOCKING domain did the trick. Although there might be something else that either Yahoo or GoDaddy don’t want me to know. Anyways, neither of them will tell you to unlock your domain before changing name servers and you could be sitting there with your broken site for weeks or even months! Needless to say that for four days of full inactivity our store lost most of traffic and 99% of normal sales. The worst part is that we are completely gone from Google and majority of search engines

Contact Yahoo. If GoDaddy says that your name servers have changed, then there is nothing you can do on their end. You just have to be patient I suppose.
